Dr. Scott Gellman, VMD, MS, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004 and has worked for hospitals in the Philadelphia area gaining skill and expertise with cats, dogs and all manner of exotic pets. Living with a pet rabbit and a dog with encephalitis when he was a teen led Dr. Gellman to determine that he wanted to become a veterinarian. His interest in exotic pets, particularly reptiles, small mammals, and backyard birds evolved when he was in Veterinary school and over the years since. More recently, Dr. Gellman has developed an interest in Chinese Herbal Medicine, bringing a bit of Eastern medical philosophy to go with his Western medicine training.
Dr. Gellman lives in Gilbertsville with his wife, daughter, ducks, his daughter’s pet shrimp, and so many cats!
